Sayat bagian perut bandeng. Cuci bersih bandeng lalu tiriskan.
Lumuri bandeng dengan ragi dan garam. Diamkan selama 1 jam.
Olesi bandeng dengan bumbu halus hingga rata.
Taruh bandeng berbumbu di atas keranjang mesin. Beri daun salam dan lengkuas.
Masak hingga matang. Masak selama sekitar 30 menit.
